Pictures from Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, India). In a frenzy show of celebration, men from an Indian village fired strings of bullets in air to celebrate a festival meant for colours. While Holi was celebrated nationwide by smearing brightest of the colours at each other to welcome the season of Spring, a village in India fired bullets in air and shot canons to mark the annual festival. Dressed to the T in their traditional attire complete with bright red headgears, men from Menar village in Udaipur in western India came out of their houses carrying heavy guns and crackers a day after Holi on Saturday. They fired several rounds of aerial gunfire and canon shots and fired crackers as women sang songs of valour and heroism to rejoice the event that dates back to 400 years old.
